› Tomaso Binga
The exhibition aims to explore the semiological significance of Binga’s work through a “journey” across her visual alphabets. In doing so, it seeks to investigate the meaning of her radical writings from a critical perspective that highlights the ambivalence between signifier, signified, and the evolution of language and communication. The exhibition will present several historical works in their entirety, including two complete series of alphabets—one of which is monumental and dates back to the 1980s. Moreover, the exhibition intends to create a dialogue between historically established works and more recent productions. These will be displayed alongside pieces the artist created in 2021, titled Alpha Symbol, allowing visitors to analyze how Binga’s semantic research has evolved over time.
